FAQ for Church Parking Lot Wifi Users

What should I do if I’m in the parking lot and I can’t get the livestream to work on Sunday Morning? 

First, please make sure you’re connected to a wireless network or turn on the wireless hotspot on your smartphone. The church’s wireless network name is Study Space and the password is ctrstudyspace.

Next, please refresh the website you’re streaming from. You may need to do this more than once. If the website takes a long time to re-load, the problem may be that the wireless network you’re connected to is too slow to stream the video.

Please note– the stream may not begin for 2-10 minutes after the service starts. If the stream hasn’t started 10 minutes after the service time, we may be experiencing a technical issue and will post on the website and facebook if that is the case.

What should I do if the livestream stops working part way through the service?

You can try a few things:
– Refresh your webpage, then if it still doesn’t work, wait 3-5 minutes and refresh again
– If the stream doesn’t work after 5-10 minutes, feel free to come inside using the Elliott St. entrance and inform one of the ushers.

Common Issues:

Problem: I can’t view the current livestream on the CTR Website.
Solution: You can expect a delay of anywhere from 2-10 minutes after the service time for the livestream to begin. If the stream isn’t playing when you first open the webpage, you need to refresh your screen in order to see it once it is playing.

Try refreshing the webpage every 1-2 minutes by pushing the arrow in the shape of a circle to the top left of the webpage. If the stream still isn’t playing after 10 minutes, there are a few possible reasons:

1. There has been a delay due to technical difficulties at the in-person service. If this is the case, we will post a message on the livestream webpage letting you know there has been a delay. 

2. There may be an issue with your wifi network speed or bandwidth. These issues may be temporary or consistent depending on the source of the problem.

Problem: The livestream on the website has stopped part way through the service.
Solution: Refresh your webpage. Wait a few minutes and then refresh it again if it still doesn’t work. If there is a problem with streaming on CTR’s end, we will try our best to post a message on the webpage after 10 mintues or so letting users know that the livestream isn’t working properly.
